A technology solutions company in Kuala Lumpur is looking for an IT Support Specialist to manage virtual infrastructure and provide technical support. Responsibilities include user account administration, network management, system updates, and assisting with IT projects. The ideal candidate has experience in virtualization technologies and troubleshooting, along with strong problem-solving skills. Administer and maintain virtual infrastructure using VMware, Hyper‑V, or equivalent virtualization platforms.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across various systems. Create, modify, and deactivate accounts; reset passwords; and manage access privileges in line with company policy.
Monitor and troubleshoot virtual environments to ensure high availability, scalability, and optimal performance.
Monitor system performance and proactively identify and address issues to minimize downtime and disruptions.
Maintain Data Loss Prevention rules.
Investigate security incidents, updates and documents security control, perform risk assessments, take appropriate action to minimize harm and make recommendations to corrective action.
Identify IT risks, threats and vulnerabilities in the company’s technology infrastructure.
Provide first and second‑level support for hardware, software, and network‑related issues.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end users and resolve issues efficiently.
Understand end user technology needs and deliver tailored IT solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
Conduct regular software updates, security patches, and system backups to maintain data integrity and system reliability.
Set up and configure new hardware and software systems. Assist in deploying and testing new technologies and solutions.
IT asset management including software license and hardware.
Support and maintain LANs and WANs, including configuration and troubleshooting of firewalls, network switches, and wireless access points. Ensure network performance, uptime and security.
Assist with IT projects, including software implementations, migrations, and technology upgrades.
AI‑Powered Video & Multimedia Production – Utilize AI video generation tools to create engaging video content to explain corporate governance and compliance policies.
General IT Support including troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the website, and other digital platforms, assist and provide IT support for ESG related activities execution & Corporate events such as AGM and result briefings.
Perform other duties as assigned, ensuring tasks are completed on time with full closure and documentation.
