A leading technology manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking a software engineer to engage stakeholders, design and develop systems, and provide technical support. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, proficiency in programming languages, and strong problem-solving skills. Qualifications

• Assist in testing applications including unit, integration, and system testing.

Skills

Proficiency in at least one programming language (VB.Net, JavaScript, C#)

Basic understanding of web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases

Strong problem-solving skills

Good verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work independently and in a team

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Engage stakeholders to elicit requirements, convert business requirements into detailed functional and non-functional specifications.
• Collaborate with development team to design, develop, and maintain system to ensure it meets business needs and adds value.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Debug and resolve software defects and issues.
• Assist in testing applications, including unit, integration, and system testing.
• Provide technical support for internal IT MES / users for system issues as needed.
• Design and develop SSRS reports, or Power BI dashboards based on business requirements.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Skills

• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., VB.Net, JavaScript, C#, etc.).
• Basic understanding of web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and/or backend development.
• Familiarity with databases (SQL or NoSQL) and basic data manipulation.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Preferred (but Not Mandatory) Skills

• Experience in Manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of Camstar application.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Exposure to APIs and RESTful services.
