Job summary

Standard Chartered in Malaysia seeks a Wealth Solutions professional to support relationship managers by communicating market outlooks, the Wealth Select framework and asset allocation to drive NNS and AUM growth.

You will lead monthly investment ideas, run morning huddles, coordinate weekly seminars, train frontline teams on launches, and ensure compliance with KYC, documentation and risk controls. Be a strong team player and uphold the Bank’s values.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of portfolio theory and asset allocation principles.
• Familiarity with market outlooks and investment strategies.
• Understanding of risk/return trade-offs and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support RMs by communicating market outlooks and investment ideas.
• Coordinate training for frontline staff before product launches and campaigns.
• Lead and coordinate investment seminars at branches and ensure regulatory compliance.

Job Summary

To support RMs in terms of Wealth Solutions services, including but not limited to communicating WS Global Market Outlook, SC Wealth Select framework, our unique wealth management proposition, asset allocation and delivering NNS and AUM growth.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

• Work to achieve business strategy and financial budget in terms of revenue targets, AUM growth & profitability
• Work to ideate and communicate house views on market outlook and actionable ideas and product solutions.
• Work with WM Investment Products to provide monthly actionable ideas and product solutions
• Ensure daily morning huddle at branches to brief current market direction and investment solutions
• Ensure smooth management of weekly investment seminars at branches by utilizing Group CIO and in-country expertise
• Manage clients’ investment through frequent and consistent portfolio review and advice

Business

• Ensure proper and timely training for frontline prior to product/campaign launch.
• Work closely with distribution channels to provide coaching and improve frontline sales competency.

Risk Management

• Ensure all transactions follow all regulations and controls set by the Bank and external regulatory authorities; which includes but not limited to KYC, proper documentation of transactions, risk-profiling, pre-investment forms
• Ensure periodic updates of new regulatory requirements and/or operating procedures to sales force.

Regulatory & Business Conduct

• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

• Relationship Managers, Sales Team Managers, Cluster heads, Product Managers, Head of Investment Advisory & Strategy, Head of Managed Investments, External partners
