Job summary

YH Tan & Associates is seeking a motivated Accounting Intern in Malaysia to gain hands-on experience in audit, tax, and accounting. You will work closely with experienced professionals and contribute to various financial projects.

The internship offers mentorship from seasoned experts, exposure to industry practices, and networking opportunities within the firm. Potential for future employment exists based on performance.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess or pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• 6 Internship position(s) for duration of 3 - 6 month(s).
• Preferred MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed audit testing procedures in accordance with established guidelines.
• Assist in the examination of financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with audit teams to document and assess internal controls.
• Participate in the planning and execution of audit engagements.
• Analyze financial data, identifying trends and anomalies to support the audit process.
• Assist in preparing audit reports and communicating findings to senior team members.
• Contribute to risk assessment processes and recommend improvements to internal controls.
• Perform substantive audit procedures on various accounts and transactions.
• Work closely with clients to gather necessary audit evidence and address inquiries.
• Gain exposure to industry-specific audit considerations and regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of assigned projects.
• Gain exposure to various accounting software and tools.
• Assist in the analysis of financial data and trends.
