Job summary

Tan Chong & Sons Motors in Malaysia is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Officer to support production and other departments from Seri Kembangan, Selangor. The role requires a degree in Environmental Science and proficiency with MS Office, with a 5-day workweek from 8:30 AM to 6:15 PM.

You will compile incident records, coordinate safety activities, monitor EHS reports, and assist in emergency response and audits. The position offers training and a good working environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Professional Degree in Environmental Science or relevant field.
  • Basic knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Willing to work 5 days a week, Monday to Friday (8:30 AM - 6:15 PM).

Responsibilities

  • Compile the incident records and submit the incident report base on EHS policy.
  • Provide EHS supports to the production and other department.
  • Monitor and compile the EHS Report (Scheduled Waste, Oil Trap Report, PPE Inventory, etc.)
  • Coordinate the safety and health committee activities for steering committee and workplace committee.
  • Coordinate the Emergency Response activities for steering committee and workplace committee.
  • Assist to coordinate the safety activities (e.g. fire drill, training, meeting, Risk Assessment, Audiometric Test, etc.).
  • Assist in administrative work (filing, documentation, safety alert, network list, emergency contact no. etc.)
  • Assist in daily, weekly and monthly EHS inspection and address/follow up the findings accordingly.
