Job summary

ASTRO Holdings Behad in Malaysia is looking for an enthusiastic individual to assist in developing AI and automation solutions. The candidate will support software development projects using Python, conduct research on AI technologies, and assist with data analysis.

This role requires pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related fields, with basic Python knowledge and strong analytical skills. Exposure to AI technologies will be an advantage, as well as familiarity with tools like Jupyter Notebook and VS Code.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Data Science or Cyber Security.
• Basic knowledge of Python programming.
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub.
• Exposure to AI or Machine Learning is an advantage.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of AI, automation and digital intelligence solutions.
• Support software development, scripting and automation projects using Python and related technologies.
• Assist in collecting, preparing and analysing datasets for AI and machine learning initiatives.
• Support development and testing of internal tools, dashboards and automation workflows.
• Conduct research on AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), automation platforms and emerging technologies relevant to anti-piracy operations.
• Support OSINT and digital intelligence activities through data gathering and analysis.
• Assist in maintaining technical documentation, code repositories and project records.
• Support proof-of-concept and innovation projects involving AI, automation and data analytics.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cyber Security or related disciplines.
• Basic knowledge of Python programming.
• Basic Linux knowledge.
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub.
• Basic understanding of APIs, data processing and automation concepts.
• Exposure to AI, Machine Learning or Large Language Models (LLMs) is an advantage.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jupyter Notebook, VS Code or similar development environments is an advantage.
• Familiarity with workflow automation platforms, open-source AI tools or OSINT tools is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and research skills.
