Job summary

FWD TIM in Kuala Lumpur offers an opportunity for Actuarial Science or Mathematics students to assist Prophet modelling and centralised actuarial models for local business units within FWD Group. This role involves hands-on support and collaboration with the TIM ACT team to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.

You will contribute to spreadsheet validation, model checks, and ad-hoc actuarial tasks while engaging with local teams and stakeholders across the TIM function.

Qualifications

• Actuarial Science or mathematics/statistics major required.
• Preferably 2nd/Final year student in Actuarial Science.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Prophet modelling for local business units.
• Assist development and maintenance of centralised actuarial models.
• Assist in independent spreadsheet checks of Prophet logic.
• Assist in model validation with bridging analysis and regression tests.
• Support DCS checks and development.
• Provide TIM ACT Service Desk support to local units.
• Communicate and resolve issues with local units.
• Act as intermediary between local units and external parties.
• Assist with ad-hoc actuarial tasks.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Assist in providing Prophet modelling services to local business units within FWD Group
• Assist on development and maintenance of the centralised Actuarial models for local business units within FWD Group
• Assist in independent spreadsheet development to check the logic performed in Prophet model
• Assist in model validation by performing bridging analysis and regression test
• Assist in DCS checks and development
• Provide support to local business units within FWD Group via TIM ACT Service Desk
• Actively communicate and solve issues raised by local business units
• Act as an intermediary between local business units and external parties
• Assist the team in performing ad-hoc actuarial related tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

• Students of Actuarial Science or other Mathematics/Statistics based major
• Preferably 2nd / Final year student in Actuarial Science Faculty

KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Good in Microsoft Excel and coding skills are preferred
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Good in English speaking and written skills
