Senior Accountant – Business Services & Trust Audit (Remote, Malaysia-Based)

Location: Remote (Work from Home, Malaysia)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: MYR 4,000 – MYR 5,000 per month (commensurate with experience)

The Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant with a strong background in business services and trust account audits. This remote role offers the chance to manage a varied client portfolio, provide strategic financial advice, and mentor junior team members. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping client strategies and contributing to their growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a portfolio of business clients, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, BAS, GST, FBT, and income tax returns in accordance with Australian standards.
  • Conduct trust account audits, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Provide strategic business and tax advisory services.
  • Liaise directly with clients to understand and meet their financial needs.
  • Mentor and supervise junior accountants, fostering their professional growth.
  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and tax legislation.
About You
  • CA or CPA qualified.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in business services within an Australian public practice.
  • Proficient in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Advantage to speak basic Chinese.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple clients and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with trust account audits and knowledge of relevant Australian regulations.
