Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, IT, or related field.
  • 3–5 years in building security systems or physical security integration.
  • Preferred certifications include Johnson Control certification.
  • Strong knowledge of access control systems, facial recognition, CCTV, intrusion detection, and fire alarm integration.
  • Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP), VLANs, and secure communication.
  • Experience with security software platforms and database management.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Your day at NTT DATA

The Integrated Building Security Engineer L2 is responsible for maintaining and supporting physical and electronic security systems within commercial or industrial facilities. This includes access control, facial recognition, CCTV, intrusion detection, fire alarm integration, and building automation security.

The role involves advanced troubleshooting, system configuration, and ensuring compliance with security standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Maintenance & Support
    • Monitor and maintain integrated building security systems (Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Detection, Fire Alarm interfaces).
    • Perform advanced troubleshooting and resolve escalated technical issues from Level 1 support.
    • Conduct regular system health checks and preventive maintenance.
  • Implementation & Configuration
    • Configure and deploy security hardware and software (controllers, cameras, sensors, servers).
    • Integrate security systems with building management systems (BMS) and IT networks.
    • Ensure proper encryption and secure communication between devices.
  • Incident Response & Analysis
    • Investigate and resolve security system faults and alarms.
    • Analyze logs and system data to identify potential vulnerabilities or failures.
    • Provide recommendations for system optimization and risk mitigation.
  • Compliance & Documentation
    • Ensure adherence to company security policies and industry standards.
    • Maintain accurate documentation for configurations, changes, and incident reports.
    • Assist in audits and compliance checks for physical security systems.
  • Collaboration
    • Work closely with IT, facilities, and security teams to ensure seamless integration.
    • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and assist in training.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, IT, or related field.
  • Experience: 3–5 years in building security systems or physical security integration.
  • Certifications: Preferred certifications include Johnson Control certification.
  • Technical Skills:
