Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily site inspections to monitor progress and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with construction drawings, specifications, and regulations.
  • Report non-conformities to the Resident Engineer or Project Manager.
  • Verify work done by contractors for claims and variation orders.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Maintain daily site logs and diary.
  • Assist with testing and commissioning of works.
  • Monitor safety regulations compliance.
  • Liaise with contractors and relevant authorities.

Conduct daily site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.

Ensure compliance with construction drawings, specification, and relevant regulations.

Report any non-conformities or defects to the Resident Engineer / Project Manager.

Verify and record work done by contractors for progress claims and variation orders.

Attend site, coordination, and technical meetings when required.

Maintain daily site diary/logs including photographs and detailed observations.

Assist in testing and commissioning works.

Monitor and ensure implementation of safety regulations on site.

Liaise with contractors, consultants, and relevant authorities on technical matters.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building, or related field.
  • Registered with BEM or CIDB as Inspector of Works (preferably).
  • Minimum 4 years working experience in site supervision or construction industry.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and relevant codes (e.g. MS, JKR).
  • Good communication and reporting skills.
  • Able to work independently and under pressure.
