Job summary

A construction and property development company in Selangor is seeking an Inspector of Work/Resident Engineer. You will ensure compliance with specifications, maintain site records, and liaise with contractors. The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree and has at least 3 years of experience. Knowledge of Malaysian building standards is essential, and proficiency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience: 3 years for Inspector of Work/7 years for Resident Engineer.
• Well versed in Malaysian building codes, standards, and statutory requirements.

Responsibilities

POSITION: INSPECTOR OF WORK / RESIDENT ENGINEER - PROJECT BASIS

DIVISION: C & S / ARCHITECTURE / M & E

What we need you to do

• Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with approved drawings, specifications and standards.
• Keep accurate site records of site diaries, inspection reports and progress updates.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Liaise closely with contractors and consultants to resolve issues.
• Execute inspection and test in compliance with quality control mechanism while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct.
• Proactive in identifying and rectifying non-conformance issues.
• Monitor site safety practices and make immediate report of irregularities.
• Witness and verify testing & commissioning works.

What we need from you

• Diploma / Degree in M & E / Architecture / Civil / Structural Engineering or related fields.
• Multiple job positions available on project basis.
• Minimum experience: 3 years for Inspector of Work / 7 years for Resident Engineer.
• Well versed in Malaysian building codes, standards and statutory requirements.
• Strong communication, reporting and problem-solving skills.
• High level of integrity and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Possess knowledge of IBS / system framework / BIM / 3D Models.
• Preferably with experience in JKR projects
• Languages required: English and Bahasa Malaysia.
