Job summary

A leading architectural firm seeks a site engineer with a Diploma in Architectural or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include checking materials according to specifications, ensuring project coordination among consultants, and preparing site monitoring reports. Familiarity with AutoCAD and experience with construction site work is essential. Candidates must be resourceful, able to work under tight deadlines, and communicate effectively. This position is based in Balik Pulau, Penang and requires immediate availability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in construction site with main contractor.
• IOW Certificated by Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia or Registered IOW.
• Must be willing to work at site PPD Barat Daya Pulau Pinang.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Must possess Diploma in Architectural or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in construction site with main contractor.
• IOW Certificated by Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia or Registered IOW by Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia.
• Familiar with Foundation, Structures, Infrastructures, Architecture, Electrical works, and System Formwork.
• Experience in Conventional and Design and Build Contracts.
• Able to work independently, prioritize works and interact with all levels of staff.
• Able to anticipate potential and resolve engineering and technical related problems.
• Familiar with Authority Requirements and able to liaise with Authorities.
• Able to work under tight deadlines, resourceful, discipline and has initiative and good working attitude.
• Able to use Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Projects, and AutoCAD for report writing with good writing and presentation skill.
• Must be willing to work at site PPD Barat Daya Pulau Pinang.
• Starts immediately.

Responsibilities

• To check on materials delivered to site and ensure the materials are in accordance with contract specification and approved materials.
• Ensure that the project is well coordinated among other consultants.
• Prepare monthly site monitoring and supervision report as instructed by company and client.
• Administration of day-to-day matters arising between construction managers, consultants, and contractor on Architecture elements of work.
• To ensure that the Architectural works are executed in accordance with the Architectural construction drawings and method statements.
• To notify the consultants if there is any discrepancy on the drawings and obtain official confirmation from the consultants.
• To resolve daily technical site issues with construction manager and contractor.
• To monitor site progress in relation to stage completion for billing.

During your employment, you are also expected to carry out any additional duties or responsibilities outside your normal scope of duties and responsibilities delegated by Project Manager or any other personnel assigned by Management as and when required.
