Job summary

An aviation group in Malaysia is seeking a Safety and Emergency Procedures Instructor to oversee safety training for flight and cabin crew. Qualifications

To Ensure Company compliance and strict observations of all regulations, standards and procedures with respect to Safety Emergency Procedure and Cabin Safety & Security.

He / She is responsible for flight crew and cabin crew safety training on all aircraft type in accordance with the Safety Training Manual. He / She liaises with the Chief Pilot Training, Chief Pilot Flight Safety and Operation Compliance, Chief Pilot Fleet Operations and/ or Fleet Captains on all flight crew and cabin crew safety training issues pertinent to all aircraft type.

To monitor and ensure that Safety and Emergency Procedures training and checking programmes are established in the Operations Manual and approved by the Authority.

To analyse and endorse cabin safety investigation or non-technical inquiry and to ensure timely closure for improvements, corrections and prevention action.

Responsible for the development of Safety and Emergency Procedures training and checking programmes.

Ensure Safety & Emergency Procedures and security training are provided to Flight Crew & Cabin Crew for the safe & secure operation of the Company’s aircraft in accordance with the standard Company and Regulatory requirements.

Develop and review mandatory safety training syllabus and training program for flight crew and cabin crew following regulatory requirement.

To monitor and ensure training equipment and facilities meet the required standards.

Establish and ensure the upkeep of necessary training reference documentation, materials and manuals are controlled and updated in the master listing as required.

Responsible to ensure the procedures and processes for the production, control, and security of both the hard and soft copies of the examination papers are strictly adhered and implemented.

Manage and sustain Crew Safety Training operation processes and instructional training methodology for both flight and cabin crew are as per the approved training programme and regulatory requirement.

To monitor and validate Entry in Service (EIS) report for the latest aircraft type inclusion in MAB, Cabin Crew Competency Check, Ground Inspection, Cabin Inspection, Cabin Safety Appraiser (CSA) Proficiency Check and Training Program Inspection are carried out accordingly and timely closure for improvements and corrective actions.

To recommend and validate all poor performing cabin crew during training or line operation are consulted and proper enchantment training provided.

Oversighting competencies of cabin crewmembers as per CAD 6009.

Any additional responsibilities will be outlined in the MAB Flight Operations Manual.

Qualification & Working Experience

Completed an instructor qualification training or equivalent, and/or

No less than 2 years’ experience as an instructor.

Have type rating of all fleets (narrow and wide body aircraft) and knowledgeable in Safety & Emergency Procedures (SEP);

Have good presentation skills.

Have strong leadership skills.

Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.

Have sound knowledge and skills in computer application.

Have the ability to write reports, conduct interviews; carryout non-technical inquiry / investigation on cabin incidents / accidents and other skills include counselling, facilitation, evaluation, briefing etc.

Have maintained a favourable conduct and performance record as an instructor.
