Job summary

Carsome Sdn Bhd is seeking a Vehicle Inspector to ensure cars meet industry regulations, reporting to the Retail Manager at the Retail Centre and performing daily vehicle examinations and customer service duties.

Responsibilities include assessing vehicle condition, documenting findings, taking digital photos, moving vehicles as directed, and submitting reports via software; follow-up with customers is expected, with additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of working experience in the related field.
• Professional certificate or diploma in engineering or related field is required.
• Preferably Junior Executives in Mechanical/Automotive engineering.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicle condition (interior, exterior, odometer, trunk, engine compartment).
• Note damages or repairs to frame, paint, engine, AC/heater, radio, navigation, tires, etc.
• Provide accurate documentation of overall vehicle condition and reports based on findings.
• Take and upload digital photos during inspection.
• Locate, start and move vehicles as directed.
• Submit condition reports using computer/app software.
• Provide prompt and courteous service and follow-up with customers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

You will be responsible for ensuring a car or other motor vehicle meets all industry regulations. You will be reporting to Retail Manager based in the Retail Centre, where you will be expected to perform daily tasks of vehicle examinations and customer service.

Your Day-to-Day

Conduct assessment of vehicle condition (interior, exterior, odometer reading, trunk area, engine compartment).

Note damage, or repair to frame, paint, engine, AC/heater operation, radio, navigation system, tires, etc.

Provide accurate and complete documentation of overall vehicle condition; providing reports based on findings.

Take and upload digital photos during the inspection process.

Required to locate, start and move vehicles as directed.

Utilize computer/app software to submit condition reports.

Provide prompt and courteous service.

Follow-up with customers after car inspection.

Other duties as assigned.

Your Know How

Candidates must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Others), Logistic/Transportation or equivalent.

At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Preferably Junior Executives specializing in Engineering - Mechanical/Automotive or equivalent.
