Job summary

A logistics and shipping company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Sales Representative to promote products and secure long-term contracts. The role involves engaging both import and export customers while achieving KPIs. Candidates need 2–5 years of sales experience in shipping or logistics and must be persuasive, self-motivated, and possess strong communication skills. This position requires the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, along with a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

Job description

This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities and market trends, engaging both import and export customers, and building strong relationships to secure long-term contracts. The position plays a key part in ensuring consistent cargo onboarding while contributing to the company’s overall business growth.

Responsibilities
  • Promote Company Products and Services to achieve the set of KPI and Targets.
  • To contact new and existing customers, build a good relationship.
  • To implement, execute and achieve sales plan in line with the company’s goals.
  • To develop and managed accounts assigned, to secure NAC and FAK inbound shipment and also outbound if any.
  • To monitor closely on Debtor Aging and ensure collection by working closely with SSC Credit Controller team.
  • Updating the calls in the Nova Business on daily basis.
  • To send sales lead to overseas agent for reverse canvassing on FOB business.
  • To promote Cross Sell and Intermodal whenever there is any opportunities during phone call.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Degree in any discipline with 2–5 years of sales experience, preferably in the shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics industry.
  • Candidates without formal qualifications but with a strong proven track record in shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics are encouraged to apply.
  • Persuasive, results-driven, and self-motivated.
  • Pleasant personality with strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Able to work independently while being an effective team player.
  • Willing to travel and must possess own transport.
