Job summary

Amphenol TCS Malaysia seeks a maintenance technician for preventive and corrective upkeep of injection moulding machines. You will diagnose hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, service PLCs and control panels, and ensure safe and efficient operation.

You will inspect moulds, coordinate part replacements, log activity, and train operators to reduce downtime. ISO9001/ISO14001 facilities support a strong quality and safety culture.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least Professional Certificate, Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Metal Fabrication/Tool & Die/Welding) or equivalent.
• Preferably Non-Executive specialized in Manufacturing/Production Operations or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and robotics.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing.
• Hands-on and practical mind set.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance records.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on injection moulding machines.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Replace worn parts such as screws, barrels, heaters, and seals.
• Inspect machines regularly to identify wear, damage, or potential failures.
• Diagnose and repair electrical issues (motors, sensors, wiring).
• Maintain PLCs, control panels, and automation systems.
• Calibrate temperature controllers and monitoring devices.
• Train operators on basic machine care.
• Coordinate with suppliers for spare parts and technical support.
• Update maintenance logs and machine history records.
