Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a seasoned cybersecurity professional to drive data privacy, protection, and cryptographic governance. You will safeguard sensitive data, manage DLP controls, key management, and annual recertification while supporting phishing response activities across the group.

You will review solution designs, advise on secure architectures, ensure compliance with Group Cybersecurity Standards, and lead security awareness programs for technology and business teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in cybersecurity, data protection or technology risk.
• Experience in financial services or regulated environments preferred.
• Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, CCSP or CEH are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with data privacy and protection requirements and safeguard data.
• Manage DLP and cryptographic controls, annual recertification, and key management.
• Support phishing response and group-wide phishing simulation exercises.
• Review solution designs and provide security guidance for initiatives.
• Recommend security controls for secure architecture and apps, and support deployment.
• Monitor adherence to policies and prepare documentation for audits.
• Lead cybersecurity awareness and training for Technology and Business teams.
• Support and maintain security tools such as DLP, EPP, and WAF.

Data Privacy, Protection & Cryptographic Governance

• Ensure compliance with data privacy and data protection requirements.
• Safeguard sensitive data through effective DLP and cryptographic controls.
• Manage annual DLP recertification, key management processes, and cryptographic standards.
• Support phishing response activities and group-wide phishing simulation exercises.

Cybersecurity Solution Advisory

• Review solution designs and provide security guidance for projects and technology initiatives.
• Recommend and validate appropriate security controls to ensure secure architecture and application security.
• Support the secure implementation and integration of cybersecurity technologies.

Controls Compliance Monitoring

• Ensure adherence to policies, Group Cybersecurity Standards, and BNM RMiT requirements.
• Provide required documentation and evidence to support audits and compliance assessments.

Security Awareness & Training

• Lead cybersecurity awareness and training programmes for Technology and Business teams.
• Promote secure development practices and strengthen overall security culture.

Security Operations & Tools Management

• Support and maintain key security tools (e.g. DLP, EPP, WAF, etc.).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in cybersecurity, data protection, or technology risk.
• Experience in financial services or regulated environments is preferred.
