Job summary

Hydroball Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a design engineer to lead industrial product concepts from market insights through to manufacturability. You will create sketches, 2D drawings, and 3D models using SolidWorks, Rhino, AutoCAD, KeyShot, or similar software.

You will collaborate with engineering, production, procurement and marketing through the development cycle, prepare design specs and drawings, evaluate prototypes, and drive design reviews to ensure safety, compliance, and quality while

Responsibilities

• Research and develop design concepts for industrial products based on market trends and user needs.
• Create sketches, 2D drawings, and 3D models using SolidWorks, Rhino, AutoCAD, KeyShot, or similar software.
• Develop product form, materials, and finishes while ensuring functionality and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, procurement, and marketing teams throughout the product development cycle.
• Prepare design specifications, technical drawings, and documentation for production and prototyping.
• Participate in prototype evaluation, testing, and design improvements.
• Ensure designs comply with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality guidelines.
• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to resolve design and production issues.
• Support cost optimization without compromising design intent and product quality.
• Assist in product presentation materials, mock-ups, and design reviews with management or clients.
