Job description
Responsibilities
  • Owner of the Production Flow (includes Physical layout, Autocad layout, Storage location, VSM, Spaghetti diagram, etc)
  • Build the master data with all necessary data and keep it up-to-date. Ensure the correctness of process data in the master data.
  • Process data includes Process time, set-up time, standard changeover time, machine time, operator time, etc
  • Define the number of operators needed based on the process data
  • Owner of the IE tools (e.g. MTM, capacity modeling, VSM, etc)
  • Define and standardize MTM (Methods-time measurement) for manufacturing processes, machine Cycle Time (CT) measurement method, machine Capacity and Headcount requirement.
  • As Subject Matter Expert for Ergonomic standards and requirement. Supports ergonomic improvements in cooperation with the site EHS advisor.
  • Participate in VSM workshop to support and coach VSM team on IE related topic.
  • Drive the on-going advancement in Lean Six Sigma culture together with the Lean Six Sigma team members.
  • Analyze and evaluate existing systems and processes, identifying value-added and non-value-added activities to optimize operation efficiency.
  • Conceive, design, test, and develop innovative solutions based on analysis and organizational objectives.
  • Evaluate and explore new layout, process flow, material flow, methods, headcount optimization in operation and support function.
  • Conduct training for employees on industrial engineering concept and standards.
  • Identify opportunities to prevent waste and inefficiency in operation and support functions
  • Develop and design robust manufacturing concepts to simplify/improve manufacturing processes, building pilot runs, evaluating performance, identifying issues, and make improvements
  • Create and maintain required documentation, including capacity and utilization studies, time and motion studies, standard work, cycle time analysis, line balancing and all others IE related
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • At least a Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
  • Possess at least 5 years experience in Industrial Engineering
  • Knowledge in Lean manufacturing concept and Lean tools, Six Sigma DMAIC methodology, MTM (Methods-time measurement), Capacity and Headcount planning
  • Proficiency with analytical tools, workflow time study, and process balancing
  • Proficiency in Ergonomic standards and requirement
  • Fluency in English language
  • Competent in Microsoft Office, IE related software (layout drawing)
  • Effective written and communication skill
  • Good execution and decision making skill
