Job Responsibilities

• Stay up to date with new drafting software and advancements.
• Demonstrate impeccable attention to detail and have sound knowledge of the discipline you draft for.
• The Drafter guides the software to create accurate depictions of the products to be manufactured or the building to be constructed.
• Follow specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings.
• Calculate dimensions, weight limitations and requirements in materials.
• Describe production methods step-by-step (including equipment and software types to be used).
• Create detailed technical drawings with Computer‑aided Design (CAD) software.
• Communicate with architects, suppliers, and engineers, and incorporate knowledge gained into drawings.
• Prepare, review and redraft alongside the engineering team.
• Ensure final designs are compliant with regulations, client’s requirements and quality standards and budget.
• Identify and communicate potential design problems to the rest of the team.
• Ensure that deadlines are met, and drawings are prepared efficiently.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in engineering or industrial design.
• Familiar with 3D modelling tools SolidWorks is a MUST.
• Minimum 5 years working experience as a Drafter or similar role.
• Experience in furniture industry will be given high preference.
• Based in Bandar Sri Sendayan, Negeri Sembilan.
