Job description

As an Indoor Farming Executive at SATURN AGTECH BERHAD, you will play a vital role in the company's mission to revolutionise the agricultural industry through innovative indoor farming solutions. In this full-time position based in Ipoh, Perak, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our state-of-the-art indoor farming facility, ensuring optimal productivity and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the cultivation, harvesting, and maintenance of a variety of indoor-grown crops
• Monitor and maintain the controlled growing environment, including temperature, humidity, lighting, and nutrient levels
• Implement and oversee best practices in plant health, pest management, and disease control
• Collaborate with the research and development team to test and evaluate new growing techniques and technologies
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Train and supervise a team of indoor farming technicians and labourers
• Collect and analyse data to optimise the facility's productivity and efficiency

What we're looking for

Relevant qualifications

Degree or diploma in agriculture, horticulture, or a related field

Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience in indoor or controlled-environment farming, with a proven track record of successful crop cultivation

Technical skills

Proficient in the use of modern farming technologies and equipment, including climate control systems, hydroponics, and automation

Problem-solving and critical thinking

Ability to analyse data, identify issues, and implement effective solutions to optimise the farming process
