Job description

The Indirect Sourcing Specialist Bromma will be responsible for all indirect procurement activities within the Ipoh factory and for the Bromma division. You will source goods and services within assigned indirect categories, collaborate with global category and country procurement organisations, lead savings projects, manage supplier relationships and support supply base rationalization activities, create synergies and drive sustainable compliance improvements that are aligned with local and regional needs.

To succeed you will develop and foster a culture of collaboration, business partnering, results‑oriented performance and continuous improvement together with the country organisations with a strong customer focus and value creation mindset that supports service and sales growth in line with Kalmar strategy.

What are your key responsibilities:
  • Strategic Cost Leadership: Drive substantial cost‑saving initiatives through TCO analysis, supplier renegotiation, RFQs, and CAPEX decisions, and lead Outsource vs. Insource analyses and implementation.
  • Global & Local Alignment: Facilitate communication between factory, division, and central category teams to align local activities with global procurement strategies and business needs.
  • Contract & Compliance Management: Lead contract negotiations, ensuring adherence to legal/commercial terms, and strictly enforce compliance with internal policies and local legal requirements (including the Supplier Code of Conduct).
  • Supplier Relationship & Risk: Source, monitor, and control supply while building strong, collaborative preferred supplier relationships, executing consolidation/tail spend reduction, and supporting risk mitigation strategies.
  • Process Improvement & Digitalization: Identify local process inefficiencies, promote best practice implementation (standardization/tool utilization), and drive improvements in the source‑to‑pay process using digital procurement systems.
  • Stakeholder Influence & Reporting: Collaborate closely with stakeholders at all levels, effectively communicate sourcing strategies and results, and provide regular performance reporting on key procurement metrics (cost, quality, delivery) to plant leadership.
What you bring to the role:
  • Educational Foundation: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Engineering.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum 3 years in Procurement and/or Strategic Sourcing, ideally within a large multinational company.
  • Project Leadership: Proven experience leading sourcing projects and a background in process improvement and executing transformational change projects.
  • Sourcing Environment: Experience sourcing within a global multi‑site, cross‑functional, and matrix organisational structure.
  • Core Skills: Strong ability in negotiation, influencing, relationship building, and stakeholder collaboration (up to the executive level). Working experience and successfully completed strategic sourcing cost optimisation initiatives (practical knowledge on Total Cost of Ownership model and procurement cost levers) is a MUST.
  • Business Acumen & Ethics: Required basic financial and legal awareness for analysis and contracts, coupled with exceptional integrity and the ability to manage complexity and ambiguity.
