Job summary

AIXTRON Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. seeks a Purchasing Executive – Indirect Category to own end-to-end procurement across multiple indirect categories, ensuring cost-effective sourcing and reliable supply.

You will lead supplier negotiations, manage purchase-to-pay processes, and collaborate with internal teams to support Batu Kawan operations. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in indirect procurement within manufacturing, strong negotiation skills and proficiency with SAP or similar ERP/SRM systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Supply Chain or related.
• 3–5 years of indirect procurement or category sourcing in manufacturing.
• Experience managing multiple indirect categories such as MRO, facilities, IT, utilities.
• Familiar with contract law, incoterms, invoicing and SLAs.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management; able to interact with internal teams and suppliers.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint); ERP (SAP preferred) and SRM tools (Coupa).
• Fluent in English; Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin a plus.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end management of assigned indirect procurement categories.
• Develop and implement category strategies with cost optimization.
• Lead sourcing: supplier identification, RFQs, evaluation, selection and awards.
• Negotiate contracts and terms; ensure reliable delivery performance.
• Build and optimize supplier base for current and future needs.
• Manage operational procurement within categories and P2P execution.
• Review requisitions for clarity, budget alignment and compliance.
• Ensure on-time orders, track delivery and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Monitor supplier performance and initiate corrective actions.
• Interface between suppliers and internal functions to resolve issues.
• Identify supply risks and implement mitigation actions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, ethics and legal requirements.
