Job summary

Businesslist, Malaysia-based role, seeks an Indirect Procurement Manager to oversee indirect procurement activities for the country. You will lead supplier engagement, negotiations, and performance monitoring, driving value across categories such as services, events, and facilities.

The successful candidate will manage stakeholder relationships, ensure governance compliance, and contribute to procurement transformation within the Malaysia market while working within a lean, autonomous team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 5-8 years of procurement, sourcing, category management, or supplier management experience.
• Strong experience managing indirect spend categories.
• Proven negotiation, commercial analysis, and supplier relationship management capabilities.
• Familiarity with Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes and procurement systems such as Coupa, SAP, Ariba, or equivalent platforms.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across different business functions.
• Excellent communication, presentation.
• Proactive, driven, and growth-oriented mindset.
• Comfortable operating independently within a lean team environment.
• Experience within multinational organisations is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as key procurement representative for Malaysia and support indirect procurement activities.
• Lead supplier engagement, negotiations, performance monitoring, and relationship management.
• Support sourcing projects across categories such as general services, events, visual merchandising, facilities services.
• Conduct supplier evaluations, commercial analysis, benchmarking studies, and cost optimisation initiatives.
• Ensure procurement processes comply with internal governance requirements and purchasing policies.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Compliance, and operational stakeholders to deliver procurement solutions.
• Drive supplier risk assessments, due diligence activities, and ongoing supplier governance initiatives.
• Support stakeholder adoption of procurement tools and sourcing processes, including e-procurement platforms.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement efficiency, supplier performance, and overall stakeholder experience.
• Contribute to the continued development and maturity of procurement practices within the Malaysia market.
