Job summary

A leading automotive components manufacturer in Johor, Malaysia, is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to oversee incoming quality inspection and manage non-conformance issues with suppliers. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 3-5 years of relevant experience in a quality role. Proficiency in quality tools and fluency in Chinese, English, and Bahasa Malaysia are essential. This position offers a competitive salary ranging from RM6000 to RM7000.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a quality role, preferably in manufacturing, automation, or electronics industries.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and interface with suppliers professionally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain incoming inspection procedures and criteria.
• Identify and document non-conforming materials through NCRs.
• Act as the primary quality contact for incoming material issues with suppliers.
• Analyze incoming quality data and trends; propose and drive improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001.

Skills

Quality 5 tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Statistical tools (e.g. Minitab, Excel)

Fluent in Chinese, English, and Bahasa Malaysia

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
