Responsibilities/Job Description:
- To support the Head of Department to review syllabuses, resources, schemes of work,assessment and teaching for learning strategies in the department.
- To focus on motivating the students and building on their knowledge, skills andunderstanding so that they reach the highest level of personal achievement.
- To deliver teaching for learning in different ways using different types of strategies to addressthe needs of all learners.
- To ensure the best possible environment for learning by developing a positive atmosphere inwhich students feel safe and feel that they belong, in which they enjoy being challenged, butin which they enjoy learning and know that they will succeed.
- To make on-going assessments of each student’s progress and use that information whenplanning future lessons; in addition to using assessment for learning strategies, teachers willalso be guided by the assessment principles and requirements of the specific curricula withwhich they are working.
- Providing guidance and advice to students on matters pertaining to the Seven Pillars ofQualification including their future education and future careers.
- Contributing to the Enrichment Curricular Activities (ECA) and Co-Curricular Activities (CCA)and the life of the school.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in teaching profession, with a broad and thorough knowledge in the appointed teaching subject (ICT) & STEM
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in ICT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Teaching certification or relevant teaching experience.
- Strong knowledge of ICT concepts, programming languages, and emerging technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
