ICT Officer / Executive / Senior Executive (Infrastructure)
About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and technically proficient ICT Officer to join our Infrastructure team. This is a hands-on operational role responsible for providing day-to-day IT support, ensuring system stability, and maintaining IT assets. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys user interaction, and adheres to established procedures to deliver high-quality technical service.
Key Responsibilities
- IT Support & Operations: Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, printers, and network issues. Monitor server and network health, perform daily system backups, and execute minor system updates.
- System Maintenance: Maintain accurate ICT asset inventory and documentation. Assist in preventive maintenance and support ICT projects such as software deployments and hardware upgrades.
- User Service: Ensure timely resolution of support tickets, provide basic user guidance and training, and maintain detailed incident records.
- Compliance & Security: Adhere strictly to ICT policies, security guidelines, and data handling procedures. Support license compliance and audit readiness activities.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on system uptime, assets, support tickets, and compliance status.
What We're Looking For (Job Specifications)
- Education: Minimum Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience is preferred but not mandatory. Exposure to Windows/Linux, networking (LAN, TCP/IP), and office applications (Microsoft 365) is advantageous.
- Core Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and basic network issues.
- Ability to perform system backups, install/configure user devices and peripherals.
- Excellent time management, prioritization, and clear communication with non-technical users.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on documentation and procedure.
- Languages: Proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin (both spoken and written) is required for effective communication with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): You will be measured on meeting swift response and resolution times for support tickets, ensuring daily backups are completed, and adherence to procedures with timely reporting.
