Job summary

OCBC is seeking a results-driven banking professional to deepen cash management relationships with commercial clients in Malaysia. You will work with product specialists to tailor solutions for collections, payments, payroll, and internet banking while expanding share of wallet.

You will review client needs, identify opportunities, and collaborate with Transaction Banking, Treasury, Product and Operations teams to meet revenue targets and regulatory standards. Travel will be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business.
• 3–5 years in a similar field.
• Fluent in English.
• Willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• To maintain and grow existing deposit portfolio and to deepen profitable relationships by providing proposition and advisory for commercial banking clients on their Cash Management.
• To proactively review with clients to increase share of wallet by providing customized Cash Management Solutions on collection, payment, payroll, internet banking, etc. to meet and exceed their business and operational requirements.
• To hunt new-to-bank and generate new leads from the value chain of the existing clients.
• Proactively cross sell all other products within the Bank including various types of commercial banking facilities, bancassurance, workplace accounts, premier banking, etc.
• To work closely with internal stakeholders including Transaction Banking, Treasury, Product and Operations Teams to ensure the portfolio meets planned revenue and volume projections.
• To assess and manage the potential risks by performing customer due diligence in compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements as well as the Bank’s internal procedure manuals.

Who you are

• Possess a recognized degree preferably in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business, coupled with 3- 5 years’ experience in a similar field.
• Good analytical skills in the areas of Cash Management or Business Banking.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, influencing and problem-solving skills.
• Positive and growth mindset, willing to learn, able to work independently and initiative driven.
• Result-oriented and able to work as a team.
• Good planning and organizing skills.
• Fluent in both spoken and written English.
• Must be willing to travel.
