Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Material Planner in a hybrid role (80% material planning, 20% procurement) to support production schedules, customer forecasts, and inventory management. This position offers a hybrid working arrangement and requires 3–5 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in material planning, production planning, supply chain planning, or similar roles within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience in MRP, inventory planning, demand planning, and production support.
• Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar systems).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain material plans based on production schedules, customer demand forecasts, and inventory requirements.
• Perform material requirement planning (MRP) to ensure sufficient raw materials are available for production.
• Monitor material availability and identify potential shortages or supply risks.
• Maintain MRP parameters including lead time, MOQ, reorder levels, and safety stock.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Warehouse, Logistics, and suppliers to ensure uninterrupted production flow.
• Monitor inventory levels to maintain optimal stock while minimising excess inventory and material shortages.
• Review inventory status, ageing stock, and slow-moving materials.
• Analyse inventory data and recommend improvement actions.
• Manage purchase order activities and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely material delivery.
• Coordinate with suppliers regarding delivery schedules, shortages, and material availability.
• Support supplier performance monitoring related to delivery performance and supply reliability.
• Prepare material planning, inventory, and supply chain reports to support decision‑making.
• Utilise ERP/MRP systems to monitor demand, supply, and inventory status.
