Jotun in Nilai, Malaysia, seeks a seasoned HVAC/FF engineer to lead delivery of HVAC and fire fighting systems for our new production facility. You will coordinate with consultants, contractors, and global technical teams to ensure designs, installation, and commissioning meet engineering standards and project requirements.

The role reports to the Project Manager and requires a bachelor in HVAC, 4+ years in factory construction, ATEX experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD and Navisworks;

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in relevant HVAC fields.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in factory construction projects.
• Experience in ATEX installations, especially in chemical/paint/oil & gas projects.
• Familiar with tools like AutoCAD and Navisworks (3D).
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsabilités

• Support the design, construction, commissioning, and handover of HVAC and FF systems throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure all HVAC and FF systems are delivered in compliance with Jotun standards, regulations, and project specs.
• Collaborate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and Group Technical teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Participate in design reviews, technical evaluations, and project planning to identify optimal engineering solutions.
• Monitor site activities, conduct inspections, and ensure works are completed safely, on schedule, and to required quality.
• Review and approve HVAC and FF equipment, materials, fittings, and technical documentation before installation.
• Coordinate contractors and service providers for smooth project execution and high-quality workmanship.
• Track project progress, report milestones, and identify risks, deviations, and improvement opportunities.
• Support technical bid evaluations, contractor selection, and value engineering initiatives.
• Participate in FAT, inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Verify mechanical completion and readiness for commissioning of HVAC and FF systems.
• Ensure risk assessments are conducted and mitigation actions followed up with stakeholders.
• Support handover of systems to operations with complete documentation.
• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE throughout project execution.

Summary: You will play a key role in the successful delivery of HVAC and Fire Fighting (FF) systems for our new production facility in Nilai. This role works closely with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and global technical experts, ensure systems are designed, installed, and commissioned in compliance with Jotun engineering standards, project requirements, and industry best practices.

This role will be based in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, reporting to Project Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support the design, construction, commissioning, and handover of HVAC and Fire Fighting (FF) systems throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure all HVAC and FF systems are delivered in compliance with Jotun engineering standards, applicable regulations, and project specifications.
• Collaborate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and Group Technical teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Participate in design reviews, technical evaluations, and project planning activities to identify optimal engineering solutions.
• Monitor site activities, conduct inspections, and ensure works are executed safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.
• Review and approve HVAC and FF equipment, materials, fittings, and technical documentation before installation.

Qualification:
