We are currently seeking a Design Project Manager for our Project and Development Services team based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The successful candidate will be responsible for demonstrating high levels of project management skills, in particular the management of the entire lifecycle of design development of newbuild data centres, from project brief, concept and detailed design to tender and construction phases of the project.
• Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution. Must have previous experience managing HV Electrical projects and designs. Preference towards a Degree in Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Familiar with local statutory submissions and approvals process
• At least 5 years as a Project Manager, Design Manager or similar role.
• Ability to regularly communicate analyzed data to client and team to achieve project goals
• Strong working knowledge of technical drawings and single line diagrams.
• Highly organized with strong analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with executive level external and internal clients as well as external team members (architects, contractors, client’s representatives, etc.).
• Ability to manage all aspects of construction projects effectively and efficiently including, but not limited to budgeting, scheduling, submittals, change orders.
• Fully competent at managing all types/sizes of projects.
