About the Role
Airswift is currently supporting a leading global player in the energy and manufacturing sector. We are seeking a Human Resource Specialist to join our client’s facility in Kulai. This role requires a dynamic HR professional who can manage training, payroll, and HR operations while navigating a dual-line management structure between the Chinese headquarters and the local Malaysia.n team.
Key Responsibilities
- Training & Development: Develop, implement, and manage training programs tailored to the manufacturing sector, including onboarding, skill enhancement, and compliance training, ensuring alignment with both local operational needs and headquarters’ talent development standards.
- Payroll Management: Handle end-to-end payroll calculation for employees in the Kulai facility, ensuring accuracy, compliance with M.alaysian labor laws and tax regulations, and adherence to global compensation policies.
- Dual-Line Coordination: Work effectively within a dual-line management structure, reporting to both the Chinese headquarters HR team and the local Malaysia General Manager (GM) to ensure HR initiatives align with overall business goals.
- HR Operations: Support employee relations, performance management, and HR policy implementation, ensuring full adherence to the company’s Chinese-style management model.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in Chinese-funded enterprises, with strong familiarity with Chinese operational and management models.
- Expertise in HR practices within the manufacturing sector, particularly in training program design/delivery and payroll management; prior experience in a manufacturing setting is highly preferred.
- Ability to adapt to dual-line management requirements from both headquarters and local GM.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills to bridge cultural and operational gaps between Chinese headquarters and the Malaysia.n team.
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin (spoken and written) – Mandarin is essential for effective communication with the Chinese headquarters.
- Strong knowledge of M.alaysian labor laws, tax regulations, and local HR best practices.
