Responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day HR operations for the Clarks SEA/ANZ office, including payroll, employee relations, compliance, benefits, sourcing, and employee events and activities.
- Coach SEA/ANZ managers on employee relations issues and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner within company policies.
- Ensure employee concerns are handled in compliance with provincial employment laws and company HR policies.
- Supervise communications and administration of employee benefits, handling benefit needs and concerns efficiently.
- Process payroll for SEA/ANZ employees, providing policy interpretation and guidance on pay decisions.
- Oversee the performance management process, review and update the review process, and serve as coordinator and communicator.
- Collaborate with the HR Director/Head of HR and senior management to support business strategy and employee‑related activities.
- Coordinate assessment and implementation of training needs; deliver training programs and gather feedback.
- Develop and implement people strategy within the SEA/ANZ office, providing insight to inform strategic initiatives.
- Analyze upcoming HR operational financial needs and provide budget information to HR Director/Head of HR; monitor budget items.
- Oversee confidential personnel and payroll files for security and compliance.
- Track cycle times and cost per hire; ensure on‑time payroll delivery for staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- 5‑10+ years of experience in human resources, preferably in a retail environment.
- Experience leading change initiatives and supporting the development of HR strategies.
- Experience building teams, strengthening relationships, and managing people.
- Experience in performance management and team development.
- Experience influencing decisions at the management level and shaping organizational direction.
- Decision‑making, problem‑solving, and influencing and negotiating capabilities.
- Ability to handle confidential employee information and maintain trust.
- Strong communication, listening, and customer‑focused skills.
- Bonus: experience in sourcing for the SEA/ANZ market, especially sales, marketing, customer service, and retail positions.
