Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the full spectrum of HR operations, including recruitment, payroll, benefits, and compliance.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection of academic and non‑academic staff in line with University needs.
  • Administer employment contracts, renewals, confirmations, and promotions in accordance with policies and labour laws.
  • Handle foreign staff employment matters, including expatriate visa applications and renewals.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and statutory submissions (KWSP, SOCSO, LHDN, HRD Corp).
  • Manage employee relations, including counselling, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
  • Implement performance appraisals and support salary reviews and career development.
  • Coordinate staff training, induction, and professional development programmes.
  • Review and update HR policies, procedures, and organizational structures.
  • Promote a fair, transparent, and professional work culture aligned with the University’s goals.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Proficiency in Mandarin and English, both spoken and written, is essential.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Prior experience in the higher education industry is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian labour laws, HR best practices, and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience in managing expatriate employment passes and visa applications/renewals.
  • Demonstrated capability in payroll administration, recruitment, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Strong analytical thinking, organizational, and time management skills.
