Position Overview
The Human Resources Manager will oversee the full scope of human resource functions for the manufacturing operations in Ipoh. This role requires a strategic and hands-on HR professional who can align HR initiatives with business goals, drive organizational performance, and ensure a motivated, compliant, and high-performing workforce.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Selection
- Lead the full recruitment and selection process for all positions across levels.
- Develop effective sourcing strategies to attract, assess, and hire qualified talent.
- Partner with department heads to ensure timely and efficient hiring aligned with manpower plans.
2. Manpower Planning
- Develop and execute annual manpower plans in alignment with operational and business requirements.
- Monitor workforce utilization and implement initiatives to optimize staffing efficiency.
3. Payroll Management & HR Systems
- Oversee end-to-end payroll administration, ensuring accuracy and statutory compliance.
- Maintain employee records and data integrity through the company’s HR system.
- Manage compensation, benefits, and related HR operational processes.
4. Employee Engagement & Retention
- Design and implement employee engagement and retention programs.
- Conduct employee satisfaction surveys and develop action plans to improve workplace culture.
5. Performance Management & Succession Planning
- Implement and monitor the company’s performance appraisal system to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate succession planning and talent review exercises to ensure leadership continuity.
6. Talent Development, Training & Learning
- Identify training needs, develop annual training calendars, and coordinate learning programs to enhance workforce capabilities.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
7. Industrial Relations & Compliance
- Manage employee relations, grievance handling, and disciplinary matters in compliance with Malaysian labour laws.
- Liaise with government bodies and represent the company in labour-related matters when required.
8. Strategic HR Initiatives
- Partner with the Group HR to implement group-wide initiatives in HR digitalization, organizational development, and culture transformation.
- Provide HR insights and analytics to support management decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial role within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian labour laws, HR systems, and payroll administration.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability.
- Proficient in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
