Qualifications

About the Role

The Senior HR Executive will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of HR operations, including recruitment, payroll coordination, statutory compliance, employee relations, and training & development. You will also play a key role in strengthening the company’s HR structure, improving administrative efficiency, and supporting a people‑first workplace culture aligned with GWM’s standards.

Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Compliance
  • Oversee the full range of HR functions, including payroll preparation, leave administration, and personnel records.
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian labour laws, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and other statutory regulations.
  • Develop and update HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbooks.
  • Handle employee disciplinary and grievance matters in a professional and confidential manner.
Recruitment & Development
  • Manage end‑to‑end recruitment: job posting, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding.
  • Work with management to identify manpower needs and plan workforce requirements.
  • Coordinate employee training, performance evaluations, and career development initiatives.
Employee Engagement & Culture
  • Organise staff engagement programs, team‑building activities, and employee recognition events.
  • Foster a positive, motivated, and compliant workplace environment aligned with company values.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to department heads on HR‑related matters.
Leadership & Support
  • Guide and support HR executives/assistants in daily operations.
  • Prepare monthly HR reports, headcount summaries, and compliance documentation.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Management teams to streamline HR processes and reporting accuracy.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in HR operations, preferably in automotive or retail sectors.
  • Strong understanding of Malaysia Labour Law, EPF, SOCSO, and EIS processes.
  • Experience using HR systems such as Kakitangan.com, Info-Tech, or AutoCount HR is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organisation.
  • High integrity, strong attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential matters professionally.
  • Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an advantage).
