A leading company in the palm oil sector is seeking a Human Resources Manager in Sibu, Sarawak. The ideal candidate will develop and implement HR strategies, manage all HR functions, and ensure compliance with local labor laws. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in HR and at least 5 years of HR experience, including 2 years in a managerial role. The position offers a salary range of RM6,000-RM8,000.

Position: Human Resources Manager

Salary Range: RM6,000-RM8,000

Job Descriptions:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the company’s objectives.
  • Manage the full spectrum of HR functions including recruitment, training, performance management and employee engagement.
  • Oversee payroll processing and ensure accuracy in statutory contributions (e.g., EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and PCB).
  • Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions and conflict resolution.
  • Conduct regular visits to estates to monitor and support HR operations including manpower management and on-site employee welfare.
  • Develop and manage HR policies, procedures and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian Employment Act 1955 and the Sarawak Labour Ordinance as applicable.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Working experience in the oil palm sector is an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian labor laws including the Sarawak Labour Ordinance and Employment Act 1955.
  • Proven experience in local and foreign recruitment, payroll processing and managing employee benefits.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be willing and able to travel to estates regularly.
