Job description

The HR Manager is a strategic and hands‑on leader responsible for driving the full spectrum of Human Resource functions at DobiQueen. This role ensures strong people operations, regulatory compliance, and an employee‑centric culture that aligns with and actively supports the company’s business strategies and growth plans.

You will oversee and develop HR policies, lead talent acquisition efforts, enhance performance and engagement frameworks, and partner closely with senior management to ensure that DobiQueen has the right people, capabilities, and culture to achieve its strategic objectives.

1. HR Leadership & Strategy

Lead the HR department and oversee daily HR operations across recruitment, payroll, employee relations, training, benefits, and compliance.

Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and frameworks that support business growth.

Provide HR advisory to management and guide decision‑making on people‑related matters.

2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

Lead end‑to‑end recruitment efforts to attract and retain top talent across HQ and operational roles.

Build talent pipelines for critical and high‑volume positions.

Conduct manpower planning and ensure optimum staffing levels in alignment with business needs.

3. Employee Relations & Culture Development

Oversee management of employee grievances, conflict resolution, and disciplinary matters.

Lead and review investigations, facilitate conflict mediation, and recommend corrective actions while ensuring fairness and compliance.

Strengthen a positive, respectful, and motivating workplace culture through engagement initiatives, communication, and HR programs.

4. Performance & Development

Oversee performance review cycles, KPI tracking, and employee evaluation frameworks.

Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and arrange internal or external training programs.

Support career development initiatives and succession planning for critical roles.

5. Compensation, Benefits & HR Operations

Supervise payroll processing, incentives, attendance, and HRMS accuracy.

Review and enhance compensation and benefits structures to improve retention and employee well‑being.

Ensure high data integrity in HR records, employee files, and compliance documentation.

6. Policy, Compliance & Safety

Review, update, and enforce HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbook.

Ensure compliance with Malaysian labour laws, government regulations, and company standards.

7. Organizational Projects & Continuous Improvement

Lead HR initiatives such as employee experience programs, digital transformation, employer branding, and HR process improvements.

Support management in organizational planning, restructuring, and change management.

Execute ad‑hoc projects assigned by directors or executive leadership.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysia employment laws, HR best practices, and disciplinary processes.
  • Experience managing end‑to‑end HR operations in retail, service, or fast‑paced environments is an added advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict‑resolution skills.
