Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) seeks an EHS Executive to ensure environmental, health and safety compliance at our on-site facility in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. You will develop policies, conduct risk assessments, and lead training for employees and contractors to promote a culture of safety.

Successful candidates have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, 3+ years of experience, and professional certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) with knowledge of ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years working experience.
• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA are highly valuable.
• Experience implementing and managing safety programs is essential.
• Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Compliance and policy: Develop, implement, and enforce EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
• Risk management: Conduct regular risk assessments and workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure safety measures and equipment are compliant.
• Training and awareness: Design and deliver EHS training programs to employees and contractors to raise awareness of safety practices and emergency procedures.
• Incident investigation: Lead and coordinate the investigation of all accidents, incidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Environmental management: Manage environmental aspects such as waste, emissions, and resource conservation, and promote sustainability initiatives.
• Documentation and reporting: Maintain EHS records, prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies, and manage EHS-related documentation for certifications like ISO.
• Audits: Coordinate and participate in internal and external EHS audits to verify compliance and identify areas for improvement.
