Job description
Job Purpose

To partner with business leaders within assigned divisions to implement people strategies that attract, develop, and retain talent, thereby driving business unit performance and contributing to organizational goals. This role manages a team of HR Business Partners and acts as a key liaison between the business and the broader HR function.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnership
  • Partner with senior leaders in assigned business units to understand their objectives and provide strategic HR guidance on people-related issues.
  • Translate business needs into actionable HR plans and solutions, ensuring alignment with both the division's goals and overall HR strategy.
  • Analyze HR data and metrics (e.g., turnover, engagement, diversity) within the business unit to identify trends, root causes, and recommend data-driven interventions.
Performance & Talent Management
  • Coach and advise managers on effective performance management, including goal setting, constructive feedback, and development planning.
  • Manage the execution of the annual performance and talent review cycles (e.g., calibration, succession planning) for assigned client groups.
  • Identify critical roles and work with managers to develop robust succession plans and retention strategies for key talent.
  • Facilitate the identification of high-potential employees and support the implementation of their individual development plans in collaboration with the Talent Management team.
Employee Relations & Compliance
  • Serve as a primary point of escalation for complex employee relations issues, conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Provide expert counsel and support to managers on disciplinary actions, grievance handling, and performance improvement plans, ensuring fairness and legal compliance.
  • Interpret and ensure consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and practices within the business unit.
HR Operations & Process Execution
  • Manage headcount and personnel budgets for assigned client groups, providing insights and forecasts to business leaders.
  • Partner with the Rewards team to advise on compensation decisions, promotions, and job leveling to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.
Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of HR Business Partners, fostering their growth and capability to deliver high-impact support.
  • Manage the allocation of HRBP resources to effectively support client groups.
  • Champion HR process improvements and the adoption of best practices within the team.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10-12 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3-5 years in an HR Business Partner role and proven experience in a people management capacity.
  • Experience in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment is essential.
