Job summary

A leading technology firm in Malaysia is looking for an HR professional to assist with employee lifecycle management and HR inquiries. The ideal candidate will have a background in business administration with 5-7 years of HR experience and a strong command of MS Office Suite. Responsibilities include onboarding, benefits management, and supporting training events. This is a hybrid role that combines on-site collaboration with remote flexibility.

Qualifications

The group you’ll be a part of

What you’ll do
  • Assist with all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests. Partner with business functions as an expert on HR policies and processes.
  • Provide support and advice to all users on HRIS (Employee Connect). Administering the employee lifecycle transactions including but not limited to hire, personal and organization data changes, transfer and leavers processes. Auditing for accuracy and compliance.
  • Full employee life cycle management, oversee onboarding and offboarding process. This includes the pre-hire logistics support, preparation of the New Hire Getting Started Guide, receiving and welcoming the new hires on Day 1 and coordinating New Employee Orientation.
  • Lead benefits and insurance governance:
    • Benefits and Leave enrollment and administration, including ensuring accurate and correct employee benefits information in the third-party system i.e. Ignite by Boardroom.
    • Manage employee insurance enrolment and administration, including resolving complex exceptions with vendors and ensuring SOCSO claim documentation is complete and properly maintained in the shared folder.
  • Talent Development operational support. Coordinate multi-cohort training events and own HRDC claims process and fund disbursement tracking.
  • Ensure audit readiness. Design and maintain control checklists. Address findings with corrective/preventive actions.
  • Re-engineer HR processes:
    • Map workflows, identify bottlenecks, propose improvements
    • Implement changes and measure impact
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure completion of HR processes.
  • HR reporting and analysis derived from varying data sources.
  • Lead small projects (policy refresh, system enhancements…etc)
  • Any other ad-hoc duties assigned.
Who we’re looking for
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite which includes MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of SuccessFactors will be an advantage
  • Is a team player with good communication and interpersonal relations skill
  • Independent and is meticulous with good organizing skill
  • Exposure to the local labor law
  • Able to maintain confidentiality
  • Work well under pressure and is able to meet tight deadline
Preferred qualifications
  • Bachelor’s in business administration or equivalent
  • Degree holder : 5 to 7 years of relevant experience handling full spectrum of human resource activities.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
