A leading HR consultancy in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced HR Strategy Manager to oversee all HR functions. This role requires Mandarin proficiency to collaborate with a China-based design team. The ideal candidate will lead talent acquisition, performance management, and ensure compliance with Malaysian labor laws while cultivating a positive workplace culture.
**This position is fully on-site work at our Malaysia’s office in Old Klang Road, Kuala Lumpur.

About Us
As Senior HR Manager at you will lead and manage the full HR function, acting as a strategic business partner to senior management. You will oversee HR operations, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, performance management, compliance with Malaysian labour law, and organisational development. Your role will shape and sustain a positive workplace culture and support company’s growth and business objectives
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with company growth and organisational goals.
Provide insights and advice to senior management on workforce planning, organisational structure, and talent management.
Lead HR initiatives to support business expansion, restructuring or scaling needs
Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes (job posting, screening, interviewing, selection) for all levels — junior to senior.
Build and maintain a talent pipeline for critical and hard-to-fill roles.
Enhance company’s employer brand to attract high-quality talent.
Establish and monitor all employee’s claims processes, policies, and procedures to ensure proper internal controls and full compliance with company policies.
Review and recommend salary structure, benefit schemes, and annual increments/bonus frameworks.
Conduct annual benchmarking to ensure competitiveness in the market.
Implement and oversee performance appraisal cycles, KPI setting, feedback sessions, and performance improvement plans
Identify training and development needs; coordinate learning/training programs for employee growth and skill enhancement.
Handle employee relations: grievances, disciplinary issues, conflict resolution, counselling, and exit interviews.
Cultivate a positive company culture, employee engagement programs, and retention initiatives.
Promote company’s values and foster a supportive, inclusive and high-performance workplace environment.
Ensure full compliance with Malaysian labour laws (e.g. Employment Act), statutory requirements, and company policies.
Draft, review and update HR policies, SOPs, employee handbook, employment contracts.
Provide regular HR metrics and reports to management — headcount, turnover, leave trends, hiring status, cost of HR, etc.
Lead, mentor, and support the HR team in their daily responsibilities to ensure smooth HR operations.
Set clear expectations, allocate tasks effectively, and provide direction to HR executives, HR assistants, or admin staff.
Provide guidance, coaching, and knowledge sharing to help the team build confidence and competency.
