A growing restaurant chain in Johor is seeking a Payroll Assistant to manage monthly payroll processes, ensure compliance with local regulations, and assist with HR correspondence. The ideal candidate has relevant academic qualifications and at least 2 years of experience in payroll. This role emphasizes confidentiality and attention to detail.
To manage end to end monthly payment of staff salaries through the computerized payroll system.
Ensure the operational aspects of payroll processing and associated activities, including salary disbursement, overpayment recovery, leave management and reporting are accurate and delivered within appropriate time-frames and comply with relevant legislation.
Accountable to ensure all statutory payments are made in compliance with local regulatory requirements e.g. EPF, SOCSO, EIS, HRDF and Income Tax.
To assist senior on foreign workers' matters such as FOMEMA, renewing permit and passport, and liaise with Immigration, MYEG and SOCSO.
Issuance of confirmation, increment, promotion, transfer letter or any letter pertaining HR correspondence.
To maintain employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
Screen candidates resumes and job applications.
Liaise with Head of Department to gain a comprehensive understanding of the desired candidates.
To perform any other tasks as assigned from time to time.
