Job description

At BJAK, we operate with speed, ownership, and clarity. We’re looking for a capable and dependable HR Operations & Payroll professional who can run day-to-day HR processes with accuracy, urgency, and strong attention to detail. This role supports the full employee lifecycle — from onboarding, HRMS updates, payroll coordination, recruitment logistics, and employee support, all the way to offboarding.

This position is intentionally open to a range of seniority levels. Final designation will depend on experience and interview evaluation.

Why This Role Matters

This role ensures our HR foundation runs smoothly and reliably. You’ll be the backbone of HR operations — handling payroll inputs, managing HR documentation, maintaining HR systems, ensuring accurate employee data, coordinating interviews, and supporting engagement activities. Your work directly impacts employee experience, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
1. Payroll, HR Letters & Compliance
  • Handle monthly payroll input preparation including claims, allowances, incentives, and deductions.

  • Support payroll accuracy by ensuring timely data updates and audits.

  • Prepare and manage employment contracts, letters, and probation confirmations.

  • Ensure employee records, documentation, and HR files are always updated and compliant.

2. HR Operations & HRMS Administration
  • Maintain HRMS data accuracy including updates, audits, configuration of attendance, leave, and benefits.

  • Manage employee file organisation and compliance checks.

  • Respond to day‑to‑day HR and employee queries.

  • Coordinate onboarding activities — documentation, benefits setup, workspace/device readiness.

  • Support offboarding including exit interview scheduling, clearance, final pay preparation, and asset return tracking.

3. Recruitment & ATS Support
  • Manage job postings and repostings across multiple job boards.

  • Maintain ATS data, ensure accurate candidate status updates, and support overall system hygiene.

  • Assist recruiters with interview scheduling to support fast TAT.

  • Coordinate recruitment logistics for ~180+ active job postings (follow‑ups, candidate communication, documentation).

4. Engagement & General HR Support
  • Provide coordination support for employee engagement initiatives, celebrations, and HR‑led events.

  • Manage basic new‑joiner device coordination.

  • Support any other HR operations activities required to maintain smooth daily functioning.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or any related field preferred.

  • 2–6 years of HR experience in operations, payroll coordination, HR administration, or recruitment support.

  • Strong understanding of employment processes, documentation, HRMS usage, and payroll inputs.

  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and data cleanliness.

  • Ability to handle high‑volume workload with speed and structure.

  • Strong communication skills and a service mindset when working with employees.

  • Familiarity with HR systems, ATS tools, and payroll processes.

  • Ability to work independently with good judgment and accountability.

Final title will be determined based on experience and interview.

You’ll Thrive Here If You…
  • Enjoy structured, hands‑on HR work and operational excellence.

  • Prefer environments where speed, ownership, and clarity matter.

  • Can juggle multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.

  • Are comfortable improving workflows, not just following them.

  • Want exposure to the full HR lifecycle in a fast‑growing, high‑performance company.

What You’ll Get
  • Competitive compensation based on experience.

  • Exposure to HR operations at scale in a fast‑paced tech environment.

  • Opportunities to grow into broader HR responsibilities as the team expands.

  • A high‑speed, no‑politics culture focused on performance and clarity.
