Job summary

A leading technology firm in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead the recruitment and selection process while ensuring compliance with labor laws. The ideal candidate will have at least 8-10 years of HR experience, be proficient in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Melayu, and possess strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills. This role is critical in fostering a positive work environment and driving employee development and engagement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in human resources, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven experience in managing HR functions such as recruitment, employee relations, training & development in a manufacturing or technology environment.

Job description

Talent Acquisition: Lead the recruitment and selection process, ensuring the attraction, hiring, and on-boarding of qualified talent across all levels of the organization.

Employee Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for all employee relations issues, ensuring that all concerns, grievances, and conflicts are addressed in a fair and timely manner, fostering a positive workplace environment.

Training and Development: Identify training needs, create learning and development plans, and ensure continuous employee development to build skills and capabilities that drive business performance.

Compliance and Audit: Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies. Review and update company policies and procedures to align with best practices and local legal requirements.

Employee Engagement: Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention, creating a work environment that promotes employee well‑being and organizational loyalty.

HR Reporting and Analytics: Monitor key HR metrics, prepare reports for senior management, and analyze data to inform decisions regarding workforce planning, retention strategies, and talent development.

Health & Safety: Work closely with other departments to promote health and safety initiatives, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

Any ad‑hoc tasks assigned by management.

Job Requirement
Education & Experience

Minimum of 8‑10 years of experience in human resources, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

Proven experience in managing HR functions such as recruitment, employee relations, training & development in a manufacturing or technology environment.

Must be proficient in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Melayu (spoken and written) to effectively communicate with Mandarin, Bahasa Melayu speaking clients.

Skills and Competencies

Strong understanding of Malaysian labour laws, HR best practices, and compliance regulations.

Experience in developing and executing HR strategies that support business goals.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.

Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities, particularly in resolving employee issues or conflicts.

Ability to analyze HR data and make data‑driven decisions to improve HR practices.

Strong leadership and team management skills, able to motivate and develop HR teams.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
