Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee HR operations, administration, and cross‑border workforce management for both Malaysia and Singapore entities. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in HR operations, payroll, and work visa management, with solid knowledge of employment laws in both countries. This role requires excellent coordination skills and proficiency in Mandarin to liaise with internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, employee records, HR documentation, and SOP implementation.
- Manage day-to-day HR administrative tasks and ensure smooth HR processes across Malaysia and Singapore offices.
- Coordinate and manage work visa applications for Malaysia and Singapore (e.g., EP, SP, DP, Malaysia Employment Pass).
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian and Singaporean manpower regulations, maintaining accurate and updated documentation.
- Act as the main liaison with government agencies, consultants, and relevant authorities for visa and compliance matters.
- Handle monthly payroll processing for both Malaysia and Singapore entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, PCB, CPF, SDL, IRAS filings).
- Manage employee benefits, leave systems, claims, and statutory contributions.
- Maintain strong understanding of Malaysian Employment Act and Singapore Employment Act.
- Ensure company practices align with local labour laws, regulatory changes, and HR compliance requirements.
- Address employee queries and provide HR support to internal teams.
- Work closely with the Operations Director to resolve HR issues, drive engagement, and improve HR processes.
- Support internal teams in Malaysia and Singapore with HR‑related matters.
- Coordinate with external partners, recruiters, and agencies when required.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of HR experience, preferably in regional or cross‑border HR roles.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysia and Singapore employment laws, payroll processes, and statutory requirements.
- Hands‑on experience with work visa applications for both countries.
- Solid HR operations and HR administration background.
- Proficiency in Mandarin, both spoken and written (essential for liaising with Chinese‑speaking associates).
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate across teams and regions.
