Job summary

A leading HR consulting firm is seeking an HR Operations Specialist to implement policies, manage recruitment, and support employee relations. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, 2-4 years of relevant experience, and knowledge of Malaysian labour laws. You will be responsible for developing training programs and handling payroll processing. Located in Simpang Ampat, Penang, this position offers a salary of MYR 4,500 - MYR 5,500.

About Our Client

Our client is a structural steel specialist founded in 1979, offering full-cycle services from design and fabrication to installation of steel structures.

Job Responsibilities
  • Implement HR policies and procedures that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process.
  • Develop training and development programs.
  • Assist in performance management processes.
  • Support compensation and benefits programs.
  • Handle employee relations issues, such as resolving conflicts, addressing grievances, and facilitating communication between management and employees.
  • Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner, including calculating employee wages, overtime, and other payments.
  • Handle all foreigners permits renewals, agency agreements renewals and extensions and salaries.
  • Assist in administration work in office maintenance, travel arrangements etc.
  • Any ad-hoc task assigned and directed from time to time.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2–4 years of working experience in HR operations or generalist roles.
  • Good understanding of Malaysian labour laws, statutory regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Hands‑on experience in recruitment, training coordination, and performance management.
  • Familiarity with payroll processing, including statutory submissions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB).
  • Experience handling foreign worker permit renewals and liaising with government or agency bodies.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to manage employee relations effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ideally familiar with HRIS systems (e.g., SQL, Info‑Tech, or similar).
  • Discreet and trustworthy in handling confidential employee information.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and adaptable to changing priorities.
