A leading HR and payroll management firm in Johor Bahru is seeking an HR Executive to manage full-cycle recruitment and payroll processing for employees across Malaysia and Singapore. The ideal candidate should possess at least 2-3 years of experience in HR, have strong numerical skills, and be proficient in Mandarin. Job description

Manage full-cycle recruitment for junior to mid-level positions across multiple brands

Coordinate with department heads to understand hiring needs and develop effective sourcing strategies

Conduct resume screening, phone interviews, and in-person interviews

Maintain recruitment databases and provide regular status updates to stakeholders

Manage job postings across various platforms and social media channels

2. Payroll Management & Compensation

Process monthly payroll for Malaysia and Singapore employees accurately and timely

Handle payroll-related documentation including new hires, terminations, and salary adjustments

Validate and calculate commissions, overtime, and other variable payments

Prepare and submit statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB for Malaysia; CPF for Singapore)

Address and resolve payroll-related queries from employees

Maintain comprehensive payroll records and ensure confidentiality

3. HR Operations & Compliance

Assist in maintaining and updating employee records in HR systems

Support the implementation and improvement of HR policies and procedures

Help ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations

Prepare HR-related documents including employment contracts, confirmation letters, and promotion letters

4. Onboarding & Employee Services

Facilitate smooth onboarding process for new hires

Conduct orientation sessions and ensure completion of required documentation

Manage employee queries related to HR policies and benefits

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field

Minimum 2-3 years of hands‑on experience in HR with specific exposure to:

  • End-to-end recruitment processes
  • Payroll processing for Malaysia (Singapore payroll experience is an advantage)
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Malaysian employment laws and statutory requirements
  • Proficiency in HR systems and payroll software
  • Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Must be able to speak, read & write in Mandarin

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with the retail, beauty or wellness industry
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
