Job summary

A dynamic start-up company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a General Admin & Human Resource Executive to manage HR operations and assist the Director. Key responsibilities include overseeing HR functions, managing training programs, and organizing the Director's schedule. The ideal candidate should have 3–5 years of related experience and a diploma or degree in Human Resource Management, along with excellent communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

Job description
General Admin & Human Resource Executive

Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Kuala Lumpur, MY

  • Oversee the full spectrum of HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes
  • Maintain and update employee records, HR documentation, and internal databases
  • Support employee relations, performance review processes, and disciplinary matters
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian labor laws, regulations, and internal HR policies
  • Coordinate and organize training programs, employee welfare activities, and engagement initiatives
  • Assist in payroll processing, statutory contributions, and benefits administration
  • Facilitate onboarding needs for new hires such as preparation of laptops, mobile phones, SIM cards, Shell cards, TNG cards, stationery, etc.
  • Manage and monitor office amenities including snack replenishment and coordination with service providers for maintenance issues
  • Prepare and submit HR reports, and support internal and external HR audits
Personal Assistant (PA) Responsibilities
  • Manage the Director’s calendar, including scheduling of meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements
  • Draft and manage confidential correspondence, reports, meeting minutes, and presentations
  • Maintain an organized filing system and ensure all documents are properly archived and retrievable
  • Coordinate communications and follow-ups internally and externally on behalf of the Director
  • Handle confidential tasks and ad hoc assignments with discretion and efficiency
Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in HR and/or personal assistant roles
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiar with HRMS systems is a plus
