Job summary

A leading HR services provider in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah is seeking a Human Resources Executive to assist in daily HR operations and improve HR policies and compliance. You'll be responsible for overseeing HR areas, managing reporting, and providing guidance to junior staff. The ideal candidate will have a degree in HR or related fields and 1-3 years of experience. Job description
Responsibilities
  • Assist the HR Supervisor in coordinating and managing daily Human Resources operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employment contracts, attendance management, payroll and benefits administration, and training coordination.
  • Independently oversee one to two HR functional areas (e.g., recruitment, payroll, or attendance management), taking responsibility for planning, execution, monitoring, and continuous process improvement.
  • Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and standardized document templates to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior HR staff in handling routine HR matters, while progressively assuming supervisory and coordination responsibilities.
  • Compile, consolidate, and analyze HR data such as headcount, employee turnover, working hours, and labor costs to prepare accurate reports for management decision-making.
  • Assist the HR Supervisor in managing government-related reporting, statutory compliance, audits, and employee relations or grievance handling.
  • Participate in corporate culture initiatives, employee engagement programs, internal activities, and cross-departmental communication efforts.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the HR Supervisor or management.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Administrative Management, Business Administration, or other related disciplines.
  • 1–3 years of relevant Human Resources and Administrative working experience.
  • Good knowledge of Malaysian Employment Act, labor regulations, and statutory requirements, with the ability to handle basic HR compliance independently.
  • Basic recruitment competencies, including resume screening, interview coordination, and probation confirmation follow-up.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong administrative, coordination, and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines efficiently.
